Cakes are great. They are like happiness served on  plate (literally). They can make people grateful and make them smile. So bake a cake today It wont take long and surprise someone special.

As it is the end of term I've decided to post a teacher cake since many people will be making them soon.
here are a few thoughts....

Its a quite simple cake and it is really sweet.

oreo cake

As I dont have much time today I've decided to focus on an easy cake ....the oreo cake; perfect for afternoon tea .
 These can be simple or hard, I've decided to stay on the simple one. Simply take my recipe for chocolate  cake and carefully using a butter knife slice it through the middle of the still warm cake. After the cake has cooled after about 15 to 20 minutes use fresh whipped cream fill the middle and sandwhich them together. Mix 5 table spoons of coco powder and non salty butter to create an icing.
 Butter the top and sprinkle or place oreos to decorate.
voila ...done in no time..x

lemon cake

Heres todays recipe......lemon drizzle cake to celebrate summer!!!

Here are the steps

1. Beat 225g of butter with175g of caster sugar, add in 4 eggs.

2. Fold in 175g of flour,50g ground almonds add in two table spoons of lemon juice.

3. Put into the oven for 50mins at 180 degrees.\

4. Take out, cool and make your icing with lemon juice and icing sugar!
